Transfers a file from remote to local
ssh firstname.lastname@example.org ‘cat /etc/squid/squid.conf’ > /home/Me/Documents/Tech/Squid/Temp/squid.conf
- Replace 188.8.131.52 with the ip address of the remote device you are copying from, whether it is your phone, a network attached storage device, a server, or another computer attached to the same network (Internet or local network).
- Replace /etc/squid/squid.conf with the directory path to the file you want to copy from the remote device. This is the location on that device in its own directory structure. Do not forget to end it with the name of the file and the file extension on the end as well.
- Replace /home/Me/Documents/Tech/Squid/Temp/squid.conf with the directory path to the file as it will appear on your local device, including the file name and extension.
